To my website and I hope you will enjoy browsing through my work.

My interest in painting stems from my dad and granddad, both who were avid artists and taught me the basics whilst I was young. However, I soon wanted to learn more and started to look for ways of improving my technique.

It was also at a young age, I became fascinated with horse racing and started to collect many illustrated books and pictures of race horses and racing scenes as I could afford to buy. Taking opportunities to go the race meetings, I spent lots of time studying the horses, their musculature, the tack and the jockeys with their colourful silks. I tried to interpret all of that onto canvas.

In my youth, I was a flamboyant character with my choice of clothing and became known locally as the 'Harlequin'. Hence the name of my business.
