‘Gay Trip’ with jockey Terry Biddlecombe, on his way to victory in the 1971 Mackeson Gold Cup, at Cheltenham.
Horse and jockey also won the ‘Makeson Gold’ Cup in 1969 making them one of only 5 horses ever to have won twice.
The race is now known as the Paddy Power Gold Cup.
